Is the Eltham Hall Hire a licensed wedding venue?

No, we’re not licensed to hold legal wedding ceremonies. However, the hall is a great choice for wedding receptions and celebrations, with plenty of space and flexibility to make it your own.

What’s the capacity of the Eltham Hall Hire?

The hall comfortably holds up to 150 people in total. It’s ideal for small to medium gatherings like parties, receptions, and community functions. We can also open up other areas of the venue to accommodate more people if needed.

Can I bring my own food or catering?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own food or work with a caterer of your choice. We also provide catering options starting from £9 per head (minimum 30 people), with special children’s party menus available from £6.60 per head. Catering options include hot and cold buffets, and when you enquire, we’ll send you our catering brochure with full menu options and packages. We also have space available for food setup or serving, and our team is happy to guide you in choosing the best option for your event.

How late can the event go?

Events can typically run until 1am, depending on the day and type of function. Please note that the bar closes at midnight. If you have specific timing needs, just get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

How much does it cost to hire the hall at GB10 in Eltham?

Our hall hire rates start from £250, depending on the day, time, and type of event. Final pricing varies due to factors such as:

  • Security requirements (mandatory for certain events)
  • Late-night extensions
  • Catering packages (hot and cold buffet options available)
  • Entertainment (e.g. DJs, live music)
  • Décor and extras (balloon arches, floral arrangements, bespoke decorations)

Your hire fee always includes:

  • Full use of the hall space, bar, seating and tables, lighting, and toilet facilities
  • The option to play your own music or have us provide music for you
  • Use of our TV screens, which can display your own media, slideshows, or presentations

Optional extras such as enhanced bar service, AV equipment, or event staff can also be arranged. When you enquire, we’ll provide a tailored quote with recommended suppliers and price guidance for any extras you’d like.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes, a deposit is required to secure your booking. The amount may vary depending on the type of event, and we’ll confirm it when you enquire. Full payment is usually due one week before your event.
